That's why there are body languages, emotions/expressions, emojis(online). But no, people just nitpick at a statement without considering the 'environment'

Exactly! People forget the context in which things were said and just react when certain words or phrases are used because apparently those words mean negative intentions now🥲

There's nothing wrong with "I'm sorry you felt that way" because like I said in one of my articles: "we get hurt by people even when the hurt isn't intended."

These statements are simple until manipulative people hide behind it then the problem becomes the statement instead of manipulative people. The truth is, manipulative people can use anything to manipulate someone. One just has fo be wiser.

Actually.

Thank you for engaging, Ike🫶🏽

It was nice to hear your take on the matter too

Exactly. When I read the piece about "I'm not other girls" by Feifei, this was my thought.

What she said wasn't wrong(there may be people who feel that way.) But when I used to say that statement, it never even meant that. It just meant that my likes and dislikes weren't the normalized likes and dislikes of everyy other girl. It doesn't mean there's a problem with it. But it became "you're saying other girls are the problem."

Yes, I get you. People do not always say it to mean that but unfortunately the more negative meaning will be more assumed whenever someone says it now🫠
